Laveen Arizona

Laveen is noted for being a rural agricultural community. It is located within Maricopa County and is about 8 miles southwest of the downtown area of Phoenix AZ. Even though the area is known for its agricultural side, it is becoming more urbanized as the years go on.

Laveen was first settled by farmers and dairymen in 1884. Laveen was closed off due to lack of transportation routes so the town become self sustaining.
